From October 13 to November 30, the Non-Collective Sanitation Public Service (SPANC) of the Communauté de communes Serre-Ponçon Val d'Avance is carrying out inspections of individual sanitation systems in Avançon. These checks, mandatory every 10 years, aim to protect the environment.

The objective of these inspections is to ensure the absence of pollution and to protect local soils, groundwater, rivers, and the ecosystem. A well-maintained system is essential for preserving water and wildlife.
Functional checks are mandatory for property owners. They are carried out by a technician, Mr. Simon, who provides information, advice, and technical answers for equipment maintenance. Each inspection is valid for 10 years and costs €125, borne by the owner.
Starting October 13, periodic inspections of individual systems will begin in Avançon and continue until the end of November. A total of 47 inspections are planned in the municipality. Concerned residents will be notified in advance by mail.
In 2026, the inspections will also extend to the Vallée de l’Avance, including the communes of LA BÂTIE-VIEILLE and LA ROCHETTE.
