With the arrival of winter and shorter days, which can lead to isolation, the municipality of L'Argentière-la-Bessée is introducing a new series of gatherings for adults and seniors: "Sundays with Games." These afternoons are designed to combat loneliness, strengthen social bonds, and recreate proximity among residents.
The first "Sunday with Games" will take place on Sunday, November 22nd, at the cultural center from 2 PM to 5 PM. Participants can enjoy a relaxing time playing card games like belote, chess, and various board games. The atmosphere is intended to be warm and inviting, encouraging conversation and a break from the winter routine.
An association will provide coffee, tea, and snacks on-site to facilitate discussions. Admission to these events is completely free.
To ensure that everyone who wishes to join can attend, a bus pick-up service is available. Reservations are mandatory and can be made by calling 07 87 39 38 01.
The upcoming dates for "Sundays with Games" are: November 22, 2026, December 20, 2026, January 17, 2027, and February 21, 2027.
