The City of Bandol has undertaken a comprehensive renovation of the funeral home at the Vallongue cemetery. The aim is to provide families with a more peaceful, intimate, and welcoming environment during difficult times.
The work involved the complete refurbishment of the paintwork, flooring, furniture, and roofing. New refrigerated cells have been installed, and the entrance has been landscaped to enhance its welcoming atmosphere.
These new facilities were inaugurated yesterday evening. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Franck Bertoncini, representatives from funeral homes, elected officials, and individuals who contributed to the project.
The renovation was carried out internally, with the involvement of Ms. Karine Benoliel Piccio, municipal councilor responsible for civil status and funeral operations, along with staff from the city's administrative and technical services.
This project, which includes plans for future expansion and the creation of a second space, reflects the municipality's commitment to improving reception and support for families, with a particular focus on dignity, respect, and comfort for everyone.
