The City of Brignoles is enhancing its sports offerings by developing a foot5 field within the Raoul-Delpon sports complex, a historic facility for ASB Foot. This local facility, inaugurated on Saturday, October 24, 2026, aims to meet the club's increasing needs for training young footballers, supervised leisure activities, and the broader development of sports practice for all age groups.
The Raoul-Delpon complex is frequented by numerous users, including schools for sports activities, the Municipal Sports School (EMSB), and associations such as Les Séniors du Carami for swing golf and ASB, which boasts over 500 registered members. The football club initiated this project, with the field serving as a learning ground for younger sections.
Foot5, a dynamic, safe, and accessible discipline, is played on a reduced space that ensures high game intensity. The creation of this new facility helps alleviate congestion on the main field, which was previously used daily, and expands the range of sports available within the commune.
In compliance with the specifications of the French Football Federation, the field measures 35 meters long by 20 meters wide. It features a synthetic turf surface with sand infill, suitable for sports practice. Lighting from three masts allows for nighttime use. Accessible pathways connect the changing rooms to the foot5 field, and fencing, soon to be enhanced with video surveillance, ensures the facility's security.
The objectives of the City of Brignoles with this facility include promoting local sports practice, offering a new space for associations, youth, and families, supporting the local football club by diversifying training methods, fostering conviviality at the sports complex, and improving the overall quality and attractiveness of municipal facilities. Construction began last May and was completed in July.
The investment exceeds €231,741 including tax, with co-financing of €80,000 excluding tax from the National Sports Agency (Plan 5,000 Sports Facilities Generation 2024) and the French Football Federation (Amateur Football Aid Fund).
