On October 19, the City of Draguignan welcomed a delegation of Armenian volunteer firefighters at the Town Hall.

This meeting aims to present the actions carried out by the City and local firefighters in combating forest fires, as well as in protecting plant and animal species. Legal clearing obligations were highlighted as a concrete example.
The reception of this delegation is part of the friendship charter that links Draguignan to Malatia-Sebastia, one of the twelve administrative districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. In parallel, the COP 17 biodiversity conference began on the same day in Yerevan and will continue until October 30.
Several elected officials were present for this occasion: Grégory Loew, Deputy Mayor for Public Works and Departmental Councilor, Jean-Pierre Souza, Deputy Mayor for Major Risk Prevention, Danielle Adoux-Copin, Deputy Mayor for the Environment, and Christian Mamecier, Municipal Councilor for the Communal Civil Security Reserve.
