The Draguignan School of Infantry has announced a field military exercise that will take place in multiple phases. These maneuvers are scheduled from September 21 to October 16, 2026, then from January 4 to 29, 2027, February 8 to 19, 2027, March 8 to 19, 2027, April 12 to May 21, 2027, and finally from June 1 to July 9, 2027.
The exercise will involve several communes in the Var department, notably Draguignan, as well as Ampus, Artigues, Aups, Barjols, Besse-sur-Issole, Bras, Brignoles, Brue-Auriac, Cabasse, Carcès, Carnoules, Chateauvert, Correns, Camps-la-Source, Cotignac, Cuers, Entrecasteaux, Flassans-sur-Issole, Forcalqueiret, Fox-Amphoux, Garéoult, Ginasservis, Gonfaron, Hyère, La-Celle, La Crau, La Roquebrussanne, La Verdière, Le Cannet-des-Maures, Le Luc, Le Muy, Le Thoronet, Le Val, Les Arcs, Montfort-sur-Argens, Montmeyan, Lorgues, Néoules, Ollières, Ponteves, Pourcieux, Régusse, Rians, Rocbaron, Roquebrune sur Argens, Saint Antonin du Var, Sainte anastasie sur Issole, Salernes, Sillans-la-Cascade, Sollies-Pont, Sollies-ville, Taradeau, Tavernes, Tourtour, Tourves, Varages, Vérignon, Vidauban, Villecroze, Vins-sur-Caramy, Vinon sur Verdon.
In accordance with Article R2161-3 of the Defense Code, owners of vineyards and unharvested land are invited to signal the holding of this exercise by posting visible notices around their plots.
Residents who suffer damage as a result of the maneuvers must, under penalty of forfeiture, file their claims at their local town hall within three days of the military formations passing through.
