The Communauté de Communes du Pays de Fayence has released the results of the 6th edition of the 'Ménage ton Lac' operation, held on Saturday, September 26, at Lac de Saint-Cassien. The event, which took place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., saw the participation of 62 individuals, residents of the Pays de Fayence and members of the CLEPF association – Les Entrepreneurs du Pays de Fayence.
This year, the citizen mobilization resulted in the collection of 920 kg of waste. This includes 260 kg of glass, 200 kg of packaging, 140 kg of household waste, and 320 kg of bulky items. The total amount collected shows a significant decrease of 40% compared to the previous year.
This positive trend is seen as an encouraging sign of user commitment to preserving the site. It is also attributed to the ongoing work of the Communauté de Communes staff, who raise awareness among visitors throughout the season.
The campaign reminds the public that the lake is a natural area without bins, encouraging everyone to take back what they bring. The importance of sorting and depositing glass in designated collection points is highlighted, given its infinite recyclability.
The Communauté de Communes du Pays de Fayence expressed its gratitude to all participants for their contribution to preserving this natural environment.
