As part of its youth policy, the City of Fréjus has been offering financial assistance since 2018 to help young residents obtain their driving license. Each year, 20 young people from Fréjus, aged 15 to 25, can benefit from a €300 scholarship to partially fund their car or motorcycle driving license. The choice of driving school is left to the beneficiary, and the financial aid is paid directly to the chosen establishment.
In return for this aid, beneficiaries commit to participating in eco-citizen work in the Natura 2000 zone of the Villepey ponds, supervised by the coastal guards of Estérel Côte d’Azur Agglomération. These actions take place during the April school holidays, over 10 mornings spread across two weeks, from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
Applications for the Driving License Scholarship are open from November 2, 2026, to February 19, 2027. The application form is available online on the City of Fréjus website, at the Point Information Jeunesse (PIJ), at the Centre d’animation de Villeneuve, or for download. Young people must provide a letter of motivation, a registration form, parental authorization for minors, proof of residence, and a civil liability insurance certificate.
Beneficiaries are selected based on the first 20 complete applications returned to the organizing municipal service. Candidates are encouraged to complete and submit their application as soon as registration opens.
For any further information regarding the Driving License Scholarship and registration procedures, candidates can contact the Centre d’animation de Villeneuve at 63, rue de l’Argentière, 83600 Fréjus, by phone at 04 94 52 79 26 or 04 94 52 79 22.
