Following significant rainfall in the Var department, Météo-France maintains an orange alert for the Pays de Fayence due to a risk of water turbidity.

Significant rainfall has affected the Var department, and Météo-France remains vigilant regarding the meteorological situation today and tomorrow. This precipitation could affect water quality (turbidity) in the Pays de Fayence.
For now, the water remains safe for consumption throughout the Pays de Fayence. The Water Authority will implement preventive solutions for vulnerable individuals starting tomorrow morning (22/10/2026).
In collective establishments (Ehpad, crèches...), a delivery of bottled water will be made. At home, a single distribution point is available at the Maison de l’Eau (871 route de Fréjus, Fayence 83440) from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM. Those unable to travel can call 04 94 85 30 50 for home delivery or contact their Commune's CCAS.
The public drinking water service recommends that vulnerable individuals (pregnant women, infants, and immunocompromised people) do not consume tap water for drinking, food preparation, or teeth brushing. The general population is advised to boil tap water for 5 minutes before use for these purposes. Tap water can still be used for other purposes such as showering and household chores.
