Starting November 2nd, residents of La Garde will need to place all plastic, cardboard, metal, and paper packaging into the same yellow-lidded recycling bin, simplifying sorting instructions.

In November, a new phase in waste management begins in La Garde: all plastic, cardboard, metal, and paper packaging must be discarded in the same yellow-lidded recycling bin. This measure aims to simplify the process for citizens and improve recycling performance.
The grey bin, previously used for certain waste, will be gradually collected by metropolitan services for recycling or reuse. From now on, there is a single destination for recyclable household materials: the yellow bin. This advancement is made possible by the commissioning of the new local sorting center of the Sittomat in La Farlède, equipped with advanced technologies to sort mixed packaging and paper.
This standardization of sorting instructions at the national level represents a significant improvement. Starting November 2nd, residents of La Garde are invited to leave their grey bins at the roadside for collection by TPM services.
For residents in individual housing, collection schedules will be adapted: throughout the city, except for La Planquette, the yellow-lidded bin should be placed out on Wednesday evening. For La Planquette, collection will be on Monday evening. Household waste collection will continue to be provided every Wednesday throughout the city. Glass sorting remains unchanged, with collection at voluntary drop-off points.
