In Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur , 63% of daily smokers express the desire to quit smoking, which is 8 points higher than the national average, according to the 2024 Regional Health Public France Barometer.

The No Tobacco Month campaign calls on smokers to register on mois-sans-tabac.fr and benefit from free support towards a smoke-free life. Comprehensive tools are offered to maximize the chances of successful quitting.
Resources include a dedicated website offering personalized advice and daily follow-up, the Tabac info service app for free e-coaching, the helpline 39 89 accessible by phone and via the Acceo platform for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals, and free quitting kits distributed in pharmacies and online.
Participating in No Tobacco Month multiplies by five the chances of quitting smoking permanently, and dedicated support doubles the chances of success at one year. Over 18,000 pharmacies across France are involved in this national and local mobilization, informing smokers and distributing kits.
Information and support stands are also set up in shopping centers, train stations, and public places. In Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur , over 4,000 smokers have already registered on the site. A stand was held on October 10th at the Auchan La Seyne-sur-Mer shopping center. A dedicated Facebook group, « Les habitant de Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur #MoisSansTabac », offers specific support led by a smoking cessation specialist.
The « Become an Ex-Smoker » campaign highlights the successes of former smokers through testimonials broadcast across various media channels. A renewed partnership with the M6 group includes TV spots featuring Éric Antoine , the operation's ambassador.
Digital novelties for 2026 include an animation with influencer Hugo tout seul and a smoking cessation coach, as well as a « Mains sans tabac » animation offering tutorials to replace smoking-related gestures with new habits.
