The working meeting, chaired by Jean-Jacques COUZ representing the departmental president Philippe LAURERI, was held in the presence of Gisèle SCHRODER, the association's management assistant. The mayor, Sophie ABOUDARAM, welcomed the representatives at the town hall.
This meeting allowed for a review of the past summer season, marked by significant mobilization of volunteers involved in forest area prevention and surveillance. Participants also exchanged feedback from the field, discussed monitoring and alert systems, and explored improvement prospects for the coming years.
Key topics addressed included the operation of the Orange83 and HARPON83 systems, planned training actions for 2026-2027, equipment provided to teams, and the organization and missions of the communal civil security reserves.
Beyond technical aspects, the meeting primarily served to enhance coordination among municipalities, share best practices, and collectively prepare for future high-risk seasons.
The municipality commends the commitment of all volunteers from the R.C.S.C. and C.C.F.F. who work year-round to protect people, property, and forest massifs. Their actions significantly contribute to risk prevention and the safety of our territories.
