Starting November 1st, 2026, the municipality of Six-Fours-les-Plages is simplifying waste sorting. All household packaging (plastic, cardboard, metal) and all paper must now be placed in the yellow-lidded bin.

A single new rule now applies: All your household packaging (plastic, cardboard, metal) AND all your paper should now go into the YELLOW-lidded bin!
For residents in individual houses, yellow-lidded bin collections will take place on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 PM, for collection before noon the following day. Household waste collection days remain unchanged.
In apartment buildings and collective housing, the grey-lidded bins in the waste rooms will be gradually replaced by yellow bins. The grey bin dedicated to sorting will disappear and will be collected by metropolitan services.
This change is made possible by the commissioning of the new ultra-modern sorting center of the SITTOMAT in La Farlède, which now allows all packaging and paper to be processed in the same location.
