The advisory applies to all uses of tap water, including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and use for infants and animals. Even boiled water should not be consumed.
The affected areas are those supplied by the AVELAN and GAÏTE reservoirs. This includes the following neighborhoods: Chemin des Maubert, Route de Pégomas, Chemin des sausserons, Chemin des maisons vieilles, RD 138, Chemin de l’avelan, Chemin des plaines, Chemin de l’aumarinier, Chemin de la sibade, Ancien chemin de mieran, Chemin de gaité, Chemin des margoutons, Chemin de la teouliere, Chemin des farinas, Route de veisseou, and Piste font sainte-hi.
Individuals whose contact details are on file have been notified by SMS and email. Officials are also visiting residents without registered contact information to provide instructions.
This preventive measure was implemented under the VIGIPIRATE plan following a break-in at the Avelan reservoir.
A distribution of potable water is being organized at the Salle Polyvalente de Tanneron. It will take place this Thursday, October 1st, from 2 PM to 7 PM, and on Friday, October 2nd, from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 7 PM.
The Régie des Eaux du Pays de Fayence and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) are involved. Network flushing, water sampling, and analysis are currently underway.
