The city of Toulon celebrated the return of the Chestnut Festival on Saturday, October 31st, transforming its old town into a festive market dedicated to seasonal flavors.

For its grand comeback, this autumn festival took over several streets and squares in Toulon's historic center, aiming to reintroduce locals and visitors to regional flavors in a friendly atmosphere. A total of 35 stands dedicated to chestnuts and seasonal products were present, bringing together producers, artisans, and merchants. Stands selling roasted chestnuts, including one using traditional wood-fired cooking, were also available.
Toulon's food businesses also participated, setting up stalls in front of their shops to showcase their products. The stands were spread across a route connecting emblematic locations such as Rue Jean-Jaurès, Place Victor-Hugo, Rue Ferdinand-Pelloutier, Rue Hoche, and Rue d'Alger.
This event, which was previously organized about twenty years ago in Alexandre-Ier garden, has been revived by the City. The new setting in the heart of the historic center aims to support local businesses by attracting residents and visitors. The municipality intends to re-establish this seasonal festival in the city's popular event calendar and promote local economic actors.
