The municipality of Aubignan, in collaboration with the Ventoux Comtat Venaissin Agglomeration Community (CoVe) and the commune of Loriol-du-Comtat, is asking citizens for their opinions on a project to create a link between Aubignan's town center and the Via Venaissia. An online questionnaire is available to gather information on the daily travel habits of local residents and workers.
The goal of this participatory initiative is to better understand daily practices and identify barriers to walking and cycling. The responses will help define a safe, direct, and comfortable route, suitable for everyone regardless of age. The Via Venaissia is already a popular leisure route and offers an opportunity to develop daily cycling commutes to areas like Carpentras and Sarrians.
Four potential routes are under consideration: the pink route (avenue Majoral Jouve, route de Carpentras RD7, chemin de la Pierre du Coq), the black route (avenue François-Raspail RD126), the blue route (ancienne route de Loriol), and the yellow route (ancien chemin de Sarrians). Each option presents different development possibilities, from shared lanes to dedicated cycle paths, taking into account technical and budgetary constraints.
This public consultation, the first phase of the project, aims to gather user expertise for the diagnosis and development of initial planning scenarios. A public meeting is scheduled for 2027 to present the findings and the next steps.
