The CoVe enhances early cultural awareness for the youngest children in Carpentras by organizing reading sessions at the "Les Lucioles" intercommunal nursery, led by Émilie Bousquet.

The CoVe (Communauté de communes des Coteaux de l'Arc) supports the cultural development of toddlers through book mediation activities. This week, the intercommunal nursery "Les Lucioles", located at Le Phare in Carpentras, welcomed Émilie Bousquet, coordinator of the CoVe libraries' actions. The aim was to offer a time for reading and book discovery for the children.
Through a selection of picture books presented in suitcases, the children were able to explore the books, choose their stories, and share a special moment around reading. From a very young age, reading contributes to language development, vocabulary enrichment, and the awakening of imagination. It also stimulates memory and attention, while fostering exchanges and the pleasure of discovering together.
The CoVe encourages families to extend these reading moments at home. The libraries in the area offer numerous resources to support children in their first literary discoveries and to regularly renew their reading material.
