The play "The Illusion of Choice", followed by a debate, will be presented in Avignon to raise awareness about digital violence and gender equality.

The company L’art dans le jardin presents "The Illusion of Choice", an original creation directed by Nathalie Guisset. This performance, blending theatre, dance, and debate, tackles crucial contemporary societal issues such as social media, cyberbullying, digital violence, peer pressure, and online influence mechanisms. The story follows Flo and Anne, two teenagers facing the realities of the digital world, inviting the audience to reflect on their own choices, the importance of self-esteem, and protection strategies in an omnipresent digital environment.
Following the performance, a discussion session will be held to further explore topics of mental health, youth well-being, and responsible digital usage. This event is part of the SISM (Weeks of Information on Mental Health) and is organized in partnership with the CLSM, the Maison des Adolescents, Grand Avignon, and the CAF du Vaucluse.
The performance is primarily aimed at adolescents but is open to all. Attendance is free, but prior reservation is mandatory. The total duration of the event is 2 hours, including 1 hour of theatre and 1 hour of facilitated debate.
The event will take place at the Salle Camille Claudel, located within the Centre hospitalier de Montfavet (building 35), avenue de la Pinède, in Avignon. Free parking is available on-site. Attendees are requested to arrive 20 minutes before the performance begins.
Reservations are mandatory and can be made online via a dedicated form or by emailing communication@ch-montfavet.fr.
