The municipality of Mornas is preparing to host the Great Cycle Route Festival on Sunday, October 4th. This public event, coordinated by the Department of Vaucluse, aims to promote soft mobility, sports, and sharing.
The main festival site will be at the Mornas Tennis Club, Chemin du Paty, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Numerous free activities are planned throughout the day along ViaRhôna.
The program includes a fun Run and Bike race for pairs, with starts in the morning and afternoon. Participants can register on-site on the day of the event. A contest for the most beautifully decorated bicycle will encourage creativity, with prizes to be won.
Children will also have plenty to enjoy with safe, fun circuits and a wooden cyclo-tour carousel. Workshops on disability awareness and discovery of inclusive sports will also be offered, along with accessible outings for people with reduced mobility.
A food court will be available on-site for a convivial break. The Mornas Town Hall emphasizes the importance of using soft mobility options, such as cycling, to reach the event. However, car parking is available at the School and the Leisure Center.
