The Pays des Paillons Community of Communes was represented by Jean-Marc Rancurel, Vice-President for tourism promotion. He attended the presentation of the 2027 action plan for Côte d’Azur France Tourisme. The event took place at the Palais de la Méditerranée in Nice, with President Charles Ange Ginesy and delegated President Alexandra Borchio Fontimp also present.
Alexandra Borchio-Fontimp stated: “Our activity is a strength. Our responsibility is to make the Côte d’Azur shine without altering it, to preserve its uniqueness and make every territory, every professional, and every partner an actor of success.”
This ambition resonates particularly for the Pays des Paillons. “We want to continue to offer attractiveness and create economic value, while preserving what makes up the identity and richness of our 11 villages and our landscapes,” emphasized Jean-Marc Rancurel. He added that “Heritage, culture, gastronomy, local products, museums, gardens, mountains, sports, nature… The avenues are numerous to build an attractiveness that does not rely solely on the coastline.”
Charles Ange Ginésy recalled the importance of the region's attractiveness: “If we want to continue attracting tourists, our territory must be attractive.” He also noted that “The Côte d’Azur is a formidable playground, from the sea to the peaks.”
The 2027 action plan includes initiatives both nationally and internationally, with planned actions targeting the Italian, Chinese, and Brazilian markets, as well as other strategic markets. The year 2027 promises to be a strong year for tourism on the Côte d'Azur.
