The European program Interreg Nautitech 2025-2027 was launched on September 18 in Mandelieu-La Napoule by the Cannes Lérins Agglomeration. This project was established in partnership with the Chamber of Trades of Corsica, the Province of Nuoro in Sardinia, and the University of Genoa.
Bringing together professionals, companies, start-ups, ports, and research and training organizations, this initiative aims to support innovation in the nautical sector. It focuses on several major challenges: environmental protection, collection and processing of maritime data, and the development of decarbonized fuels.
Nautitech aims to strengthen cooperation among the various stakeholders in the nautical sector. It also seeks to foster the emergence of innovative projects and enhance the territory's attractiveness at both national and international levels.
This dynamic is part of the development of the future nautical center of excellence in Mandelieu-La Napoule. This hub is expected to generate approximately 500 jobs and establish itself as a national innovation hub.
Currently, the nautical sector is already a strategic area for the Cannes Lérins Agglomeration, comprising 394 establishments, employing 761 people, and generating a turnover of 237 million euros.
