This Thursday, October 8th, Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, participated in the laying of the first stone for the future school cafeteria of the Bayle school group in Auribeau-sur-Siagne. This project, supported with one million euros by the Department, aims to modernize the establishment and better adapt it to flood risks.
Built in the 1980s, the Bayle school group has already undergone several renovation phases, progressively improving the daily lives of students and educational teams. Work has included classrooms, administrative spaces, restrooms, insulation, and lighting. A city-stade (multi-sport court) has also been created, while the parking lot and school surroundings have been redeveloped.
The next major step involves the reconstruction and elevation of the school cafeteria. Located in an area covered by the Flood Risk Prevention Plan (PPRI), the school group is adapting its infrastructure. The work includes the demolition of the old cafeteria, the construction of a new dining area with its kitchen, and the installation of a lifting device.
“"Faced with the risks our territories are exposed to, we must anticipate. This is the entire purpose of the operation to elevate and secure the school cafeteria. Protecting our children and standing by our municipalities: that is our commitment, throughout the Alpes-Maritimes."
