Following the bad weather of October 19 and 20, the communes of Saint-Martin-de-Crau, Arles, and Tarascon were severely affected by floods.

After the Mediterranean episode on October 19 and 20, several communes in the territory suffered severe floods, notably Saint-Martin-de-Crau, Arles, and Tarascon. Our photographer flew over these areas on Thursday, October 22, to bear witness and keep a record of these events.
The photographic and documentary memory of a territory is a precious heritage, preserving the history of landscapes, inhabitants, and activities. In the face of disasters like floods, this memory takes on particular importance: it testifies to past catastrophes, helps understand the evolution of risks, and raises awareness among future generations about the need to preserve and adapt the territory.
Creating and preserving these archives means transmitting a living memory, protecting a common heritage, and giving future generations the means to understand their territory to better prepare its future.
