The Jean Zay kindergarten in Draguignan was officially awarded the sustainable development approach label (E3D) on October 9th, recognizing the work of staff and partners.

This E3D (Establishment in Sustainable Development Approach) label distinguishes schools that integrate a comprehensive approach to sustainable development. The aim is to raise awareness among the entire educational community on issues such as water and energy management, waste collection, and the fight against food waste.
This initiative is part of a broader vision, integrating not only education for sustainable development but also health, citizenship, arts and culture, and media literacy. It aims to foster responsible citizens aware of contemporary challenges.
Currently, fourteen schools in the area are involved in this program. Among them, two schools have reached level 3, two have reached level 2, and ten have reached level 1 of the E3D approach.
The labeling ceremony was attended by Brigitte Dubouis, Deputy Mayor for Education, along with other local elected officials, highlighting the importance of this recognition for the municipality.
