The Great Departmental Hike 2026 invites walking enthusiasts to discover the beauty of the Endre valley and the Colle du Rouet state forest. The event will take place on Sunday, October 11th in Le Muy.
Participants will have the opportunity to admire the red volcanic rocks, the ripisylve (riverside vegetation), as well as the region's rich heritage and natural landscapes. Two guided hikes are offered: a 13.2 km route with an approximate elevation gain of 240 m, estimated to last 5 hours, and a shorter 6 km circuit with 100 m elevation gain, planned for about 2.5 hours.
Participation in these hikes is free. However, it requires reservation and is subject to availability. Registrations can be made on the official website: teleservices.var.fr/grande-randonnee-departementale.
