During the municipal council meeting on September 22nd, a partnership agreement was approved between the City of La Seyne-sur-Mer and the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis. This agreement concerns the "Parcours Jeunes Bafa" initiative, presented by Isabelle Genin, the elected official in charge of Youth policy.
This program targets young people aged 17 to 25 residing in a municipality within the TPM Metropolis. It offers financial aid of 400 euros for the first theoretical training module of the Bafa (Brevet d’aptitude aux fonctions d’animateur), provided they enroll with an accredited organization. The aid is paid directly to the training institution.
The City of La Seyne-sur-Mer also commits to hosting beneficiaries for their practical internships, within its capacity, and to facilitate their recruitment for municipal collective childcare facilities, leisure centers, and extracurricular activities, based on its needs.
Isabelle Genin highlighted that this program has already benefited 60 young people in 2025 and 60 young people in 2026. The municipality thus aims to facilitate young residents' access to initial qualifications in animation, support their professional integration, and meet the recruitment needs of its services.
Upon full completion of the diploma, trainees may also receive a bonus from the Family Allowance Fund (Caf), a partner in the initiative.
