The event, initiated by the Ministry of Culture, aims to highlight the essential role of libraries and media centers as places of proximity, culture, and sharing. In the CoVe territory, the towns of Malaucène, Mazan, Bédoin, Caromb, Vacqueyras, Aubignan, and Carpentras will host free events.
In Malaucène, the media library offers a "Blind Date with a Book" on Friday, October 2nd (2 PM-6 PM) and Saturday, October 3rd (9 AM-12 PM). In Mazan, the Micro-Folie is organizing a creative workshop "Carry Your Readings!" on Friday, October 2nd, followed by a meeting on the literary season hosted by Nicolas Honnet from the bookstore "Des bulles et des lignes." On Saturday, kamishibai readings and a book domino game are planned for younger audiences.
In Bédoin, a storytelling performance will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, at 10:30 AM at the Cultural Center, and the Compagnie Gavali will present a musical reading of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Man of Crowds" at 6:30 PM. In Caromb, a literary aperitif is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd, at 10:30 AM in partnership with the bookstore L’Astucieuse Renarde. In Vacqueyras, a yogurt painting workshop is offered for young people aged 6 to 15 on Saturday, October 3rd, at 9:30 AM. In Aubignan, reading sessions for children aged 2 to 5 are scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd, at 10 AM. Finally, the L’Inguimbertine museum-library in Carpentras will also participate in the festivities.
Beyond this festive weekend, the CoVe library network comprises 15 branches accessible with a single card, offering a wide range of content throughout the year.
