The mayor of Morières-lès-Avignon, Grégoire Souque, has launched the first edition of the E-Waste Race, an inter-school challenge involving over 2,000 students from 10 institutions in the Grand Avignon area.

For four weeks, children will learn about the life cycle of electrical and electronic equipment and how to consume more consciously through the 5Rs: reduce, reuse, repair, recycle, and refuse. The principle is simple: bring in unused electrical and electronic devices to earn points for their school based on several criteria.

"At the end of the challenge, on December 9th, the institution with the most points will win the competition!"

This initiative is both fun and educational, encouraging younger generations to adopt good practices and become active participants in environmental preservation.
