Contrary to popular belief, cardiovascular diseases affect more women than men in France, causing a death every 7 minutes. However, 8 out of 10 cases can be prevented through good lifestyle habits, screening, and regular medical follow-up. To deepen prevention efforts and address the lack of continuous care in certain French regions, the association Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes is expanding its action.
Complementing the 'Bus du Cœur des Femmes', which has already screened over 20,000 women since 2021, the 'Journée du Cœur des Femmes' aims to offer free cardiovascular and gynecological screening to all interested women. The initiative is highly successful: over 40 establishments participated in 2025, screening 2,686 women, and more than 60 have already registered for 2026. The Foundation plans to collaborate with 250 establishments across France.
This day plays an innovative and major role in proximity prevention and screening of cardiovascular diseases for the most vulnerable women. By bringing prevention into healthcare facilities, it promotes and accelerates the implementation of comprehensive and effective care pathways with a single objective: Prevent rather than Cure. Their teams of health professionals have mobilized to make this 6-step screening day a true innovation, accompanied by a Health and Wellness Space animated by local health associations and actors, open to all.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Château de l’Horloge (Room 300, 50 place du château de l’horloge). Registration is mandatory and by appointment only at 04 42 29 18 70. The event is free.
