Facing the growing risk of fires, Pompiers13 is organizing the SERIFEN Tour, a free public awareness initiative to inform about the correct behaviors to adopt before, during, and after a forest fire.

The firefighters of Bouches-du-Rhône are continuing their prevention efforts with the SERIFEN Tour. This program aims to better inform the public about how to act during forest fires, an increasingly significant issue in natural areas.
Led by firefighters, these free sessions help participants understand the risks, identify vulnerable situations, and learn how to protect their loved ones and homes. The goal is to equip everyone with the right reflexes to face a fire and facilitate rescue operations.
Initially intended for elected officials and local stakeholders, the program has been open to the general public since 2026. Weekly sessions are held at different fire and rescue centers across the department until June 2027.
The next session will take place on Monday, December 14, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the fire and rescue center in Gardanne. This is an opportunity to get informed by professionals and better prepare for a risk that affects the entire region.
