Over five afternoons, children from the nursery, primary, and elementary schools participated in this event alongside the town's seniors. The aim was to strengthen intergenerational bonds and promote the transmission of knowledge and memories.
At the Seniors' Center, in partnership with the association Leï Tres Pigno, toddlers created 'The Tree of Hands' with their elders. Later, seniors were welcomed to the nursery for a breakfast and a cake-making workshop. School children also enjoyed board games, nursery rhymes, and snacks at the Seniors' Center. On Wednesday, children from IFAC participated in a bingo game with seniors.
The Blue Week also highlighted the village's history and heritage. Accompanied by the association Littéralis, elementary school students took part in heritage tours through Peynier, visiting old houses, the church, and the castle to pass on local history and identity to the younger generation.
To conclude the week, a convivial snack was held at the Château square. This first edition fostered connections and underscored the importance of seniors in village life. The municipality reaffirms its commitment to intergenerational solidarity and the 'living well together' spirit of Peynier.
The municipality thanks the seniors, volunteers, teachers, nursery staff, IFAC animators, the associations Leï Tres Pigno and Littéralis, and municipal agents for their contribution to the event's success.
