The security initiative for the East entrance of Venelles continues this autumn with planned works on Gare Street. The temporary installation of a traffic calming measure, which allowed for the testing of alternating traffic and pedestrian safety, will be replaced by a permanent solution.
By November, a new sidewalk and a raised pedestrian crossing will be installed to ensure pedestrian continuity. Public lighting will also be upgraded. The estimated duration of the construction is 5 weeks, with alternating traffic maintained during this period.
This project benefits from 80% co-financing from the State, highlighting the importance placed on safety and the improvement of local infrastructure.
