Due to exceeding the regulatory turbidity threshold following recent rainfall, tap water is temporarily unfit for direct consumption in several communes of Pays de Fayence.

The Communauté de communes du Pays de Fayence has issued an alert regarding drinking water quality. Recent rains have caused increased turbidity, making the water unfit for direct consumption in several localities.
The affected communes are Callian, Fayence (excluding the south), Mons, Montauroux (excluding Estérets), Tanneron, and Tourrettes. The communes of Bagnols-en-Forêt, Saint-Paul-en-Forêt, Seillans, and the south of Fayence, supplied by the Tassy borehole, are not affected but remain under close monitoring.
The general population is advised to boil tap water for 5 minutes before any use requiring direct consumption (drinking, food preparation, teeth brushing). For vulnerable individuals (infants, pregnant women, immunocompromised persons), it is strongly recommended to exclusively use bottled water.
A bottled water distribution system is in place for vulnerable individuals at the Maison de l'Eau, 871 route de Fréjus, Fayence, from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM. Home deliveries can be arranged in emergencies by contacting 04 94 85 30 50 or your commune's CCAS.
Daily updates on water quality are available on the Facebook page of the Régie des eaux du Pays de Fayence. Email and SMS alerts are reserved for major information, such as the unfit water alert and the return to normal.
