The decision, motivated by "the abnormal intensity of the phenomenon during the event is characterized with regard to precipitation accumulations which have a return period greater than or equal to 10 years", was formalized by a decree on October 27, 2026.
Affected individuals have a maximum of 30 days from the publication of the decree in the Official Journal to declare their damages to their insurance company. The deadline is November 27, 2026 inclusive.
