Mayors of the agglomeration gathered on October 7, 2026, in Mazan for an economic development seminar, aiming to define a common strategy for the new term.

On October 7, 2026, the mayors of the agglomeration met at the Mas des Cigalines in Mazan for a seminar focused on economic development. This collaborative working day aimed to share findings, identify challenges, and prepare orientations for the new term.
Following meetings held between May and September to gather the needs and difficulties of the municipalities, Alexandre Kormanyos, Vice-President in charge of Economic Development, led this meeting alongside Alain Constant, President of the CoVe.
Discussions covered essential questions such as supporting businesses, attracting new activities, leveraging the territory's strengths, and creating sustainable jobs while preserving quality of life. Various topics including land, business incubators, local commerce, agriculture, tourism, housing, and transportation were addressed.
An economic diagnosis of the territory served as the basis for discussions, highlighting key data: 24,171 jobs recorded in 2023, 43% of residents working outside the territory in 2023, and 1,245 businesses created in 2025. These figures fueled reflection on local employment, business support, and commuting.
Consultation workshops allowed for the definition of priority issues and levers of action for the CoVe. The ambition is to build a shared roadmap to support existing businesses, welcome new activities, and anticipate business transfers, while considering the municipalities' needs and land preservation.
This meeting is part of a series of thematic seminars at the beginning of the term, following the one dedicated to waste management and valorization last September.
