The 2026 edition of the Virades de l’Espoir brought together residents, associations, volunteers, and partners for numerous activities, with a shared goal of supporting the fight against cystic fibrosis. These events, organized annually across France by Vaincre la Mucoviscidose, aim to raise public awareness of this rare genetic disease and collect funds. The association, founded in 1965, has been supporting individuals with cystic fibrosis and their families for over sixty years, with collected sums notably funding research and improving care.
The event began on the evening of Friday, September 25th, with a concert at the church, featuring performances by the choirs À Cœurs de Paradou, Chœur Saint-Martin, and Croch’n Do.
On Saturday evening, the Mistral hall hosted a folk dance with music by Z’aCrauNotes, including an introductory dance session for participants.
Sunday, September 27th, the final day of festivities, included a flea market organized in the parking lot of the Aqui Sian Bèn hall, while a fair offered many family activities at the Mistral hall and its adjacent parking area. Carriage rides, an inflatable structure, a cycling course, remote-controlled cars, and osteopathy sessions marked the day.
Beyond the activities, this tenth edition once again demonstrated the commitment of local stakeholders. The Municipality, associations, and volunteers united their efforts. Thanks to the generosity of participants and donors, €3,661 was donated to the association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose.
